Estuarine Modeling and Forecasting: Chesapeake Bay Region
MMAP is involved in a number of activities in the Chesapeake Bay region, including real-time wind analysis (CBLAPS), development and operational evaluation of real-time nowcast and forecast water levels (CBOFS), development of a 3-dimensional hydrodynamic Chesapeake Bay model (C3PO), development of a real-time application of a 3-dimensional hydrodynamic model (CH3D) to nowcast surface salinity and temperature, and the 1998-2000 Coastal Marine Demonstration Project (CMDP).
